Martin Becka In his photographic compositions, Martin Becka focuses his vision on urban spaces, landscapes, recording also the traces and impact left by mankind. Becka interrogates how we are using these urban spaces and how they impact the future of civilization.
In his work he utilizes antique photographic processes dating back to the invention of photography, and by using these techniques he draws us into a different space-time aesthetic. Since 1995 his photographs have been exhibited regularly both in solo and group exhibitions.
"My photographs speak about urban space, landscapes and the traces, impact left by human kind. I want to discover and share a deeper understanding and reflect upon the meaning and beauty of what we are building and the spaces we are living in."
Martin Becka was born in 1956 in Brno, Czech Republic - he lives and work in Paris, France.
